The benefits of coaching, as listed on the International Coach Federation (ICF) website, include but are not limited to increased productivity in one’s career and life, higher work performance, improved work/life balance, increased confidence, and better relationships with self and others. 99% of clients surveyed are satisfied with their overall experience of coaching, and 96% have stated they would repeat the process. In the corporate environment, executive coaching is about bettering business behavior, and has the most impact in change management and creating growth (Source: CEO World).

According to the 2016 Global Coaching Study conducted by the ICF, there are currently 53,300 coach practitioners worldwide, inclusive of managers and leaders who use coaching skills in their workplace. The estimate global revenue from coaching last year was $2.356 billion USD, a 19% increase over the 2011 estimate published in ICF’s 2012 Global Coaching Study. Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt said in an interview with Fortune, “Every famous athlete, every famous performer has somebody who’s a coach.” Indeed, life coaching has supported several celebrities and athletes in reaching their attaining their large successes, such as Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, and tennis star Serena Williams (Source: Elite Daily).
Of the respondents in the 2016 Global Coaching study, more than one in two coach practitioners believe to a large extent that coaching skills can be utilized to influence social change.
